Namaste! I’m Smita Daya, an Ayurvedic Practitioner and founder of Olea Olivedic, with practices based in Boston, USA, and Florence, Italy.
My journey with Ayurveda began at a young age, nurtured by my mother’s deep reverence for holistic living. She taught me the power of thought, daily prayer, and the sacredness of food, not just for nourishment, but as a way to live with compassion, humility, and harmony. Her wisdom continues to guide me every day.
I’ve been fortunate to study Ayurveda in its birthplace, completing clinical internships in Goa, India, and immersing myself in the spiritual energy of Dharamshala, nestled in the Himalayas. These experiences shaped not only my practice but also my philosophy: that Ayurveda is not just a system of healing, but a way of remembering who we are at our core.
Ayurveda is something so deeply connected to my being. The saying “the more you learn, the less you know” has never resonated more than when it comes to the study of Ayurveda. It is ever evolving and growing, and truly teaches us to be the best beings of light we can be on this earth.
At Olea Olivedic, I blend traditional Ayurveda principles with the rich, sensory culture of the Mediterranean, where food, connection, and joy are essential to life. My work focuses on helping individuals return to simplicity, mindfulness, and intuitive well-being through diet, lifestyle, and self-awareness.
True health is rooted in balance, through how we eat, breathe, think, and love. Ayurveda teaches that everything we need already exists within us.
Whether through one-on-one sessions, workshops, community offerings, retreats, or nourishing meals, I strive to bring more sweetness into the world.
My greatest hope is that everyone I work with leaves feeling more connected to themselves and the beauty of life. Let’s walk this healing path together, with curiosity, kindness, and heart.
Thank you for being here. I’m honored to support you on your journey.
"Trayo doshāḥ samaiḥ sthitāḥ śarīraṁ sukham edhate,
Vikṛtā vikṛti dehaṁ nayanti vināśanam."
This verse encapsulates one of Ayurveda's core philosophies: health is the result of balance, especially of the three fundamental energies (doshas). Disease arises when this equilibrium is disturbed.
